Accessories Patterns

Knitting and crochet accessories patterns from Not So Granny.

Inspired by the cogs of the Lorenz cipher machine or ‘Tunny’ as it was referred to, this crochet hat has a vintage fair-isle look but only one colour is used at a time.

Inspired by the Bombe machine, used in the decryption process at Bletchley, the circle motif represents the drums on the machine. Worked in the round and grafted together to give a fully reversible cowl.

This lace slouch beanie hides a secret…worked into the pretty lace pattern is an original cipher code, ‘Baudot’ from Bletchley Park. It reads, ‘knit, tink, knit, tink’. Here’s hoping you’ll enjoy the knitting and not have to do too much of the tinking!

Hill Top Hat

This easy to make and easy to wear slouchy crochet  beret is perfect for keeping the wind out on hill top strolls. The spiral detail adds interest but lets the beautiful yarn shine in a simple pattern.

Beatrice Evening Bag

A pretty evening bag knitting pattern, with ribbon handles, just a little lace. It is quick to knit in a chunky yarn with no seaming and knit at a tight gauge so no need to line.
